Michael G. West, graduate of Williams College and the Johns Hopkins Writing Seminars, is an acclaimed poet and the author of several novels, including the Tommy Shakespear Mystery Thriller series and the Martha’s Vineyard EcoThriller trilogy, featuring Sam Hill. He has worked as a dishwasher, short-order cook, housepainter, shingler, sheetrock taper, private tutor, taxi driver, college professor, freelance book editor, computer programmer, industry analyst and strategy consultant in several countries and on both coasts, north and south, in the U.S. He lives year-round on Martha’s Vineyard.
In addition to writing fiction, he has been writing, performing and publishing poetry, writing and producing plays, writing and performing songs, creating online hypermedia, and doing interviews and book reviews since his undergraduate days in the 60s. Most recently, he has published a new book of poems, When Stuff Is Not Enough. He is currently at work on a new novel with the working title of The Five-Headed Dragon.
